Phil Page, PhD, PT, ATC, CSCS, FACSM
Director of Clinical Education and Research
As director of clincial education and research for Performance Health products, Dr. Phil Page directs the Thera-Band Academy. He is a licensed physical therapist and certified athletic trainer. His clinical and research interests include the role of muscle imbalance in musculoskeletal pain, and in promoting physical activity in older adults. He has presented internationally on exercise and rehabilitation topics, and has numerous publications. He has a master's degree in Exercise Physiology, and a PhD in Kinesiology. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist. He has worked with the athletic programs at LSU, Tulane, the New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks, as well as the United States Olympic Track and Field Trials. He is currently an instructor in Kinesiology at Louisiana State University and a Clinical Instructor in Orthopedics for Tulane University Medical School.
SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY BOARD
The Scientific Advisory Board for Performance Health (formerly known as "TRAC") consists of international researchers and clinicians from various professions including physical and occupational therapy, chiropractic, massage therapy, and exericse science. Board members are appointed for year-long terms and meet once a year to present research on Thera-Band and Biofreeze products.

Barton N. Bishop, DPT, SCS, CKTP, TPI CGFI-MP2, CSCS Chief Clinical Officer Sport and Spine Rehab Washington DC
Dr. Bishop graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska with a Doctor of Physical Therapy in May of 2003. While at Creighton, Dr. Bishop played Division-I collegiate golf and has done further study in the biomechanics of the golf swing and sports physical therapy including being a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor-Medical Professional Level 2 by the Titleist Performance Institute. In 2007, Dr. Bishop successfully passed the exam to become a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (SCS - ABPTS). He is currently the Chief Clinical Officer of Sport and Spine Rehab in the Washington, DC area.

Todd S. Ellenbecker, DPT, MS, SCS, OCS, CSCS Clinic Director Physiotherapy Associates Scottsdale, Arizona
Todd is a physical therapist and Clinic Director of Physiotherapy Associates Scottsdale Sports Clinic in Scottsdale Arizona. He is also the Director of Sports Medicine for the ATP Tour and Chairman of the United States Tennis Association's Sport Science Committee. Todd's main areas of research are in shoulder and elbow rehabilitation and musculoskeletal profling of tennis and baseball players. He is the author of numerous books and research publications

Sue Falsone , PT, MS, SCS, ATC, CSCS Vice President, Performance Physical Therapy and Team Sports Athlete's Performance Phoenix, Arizona
Sue is the Vice President of Performance Physical Therapy and Team Sports for Athletes’ Performance and Core Performance. She is adjunct faculty at AT Still University in the Human Movement (MS) Program, and is a consultant to the Los Angeles Dodgers Baseball Organization. Sue received her Physical Therapy degree from Daeman College in her hometown of Buffalo, New York. She continued her education by earning a Masters Degree in Human Movement Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Sue has presented at the national and international levels in areas focusing on Pillar Strength, Integration of Physical Therapy and Performance Training, and Functional Examination and Rehabilitation. Sue's research regarding Upper Extremity Functional Performance Testing has been published in the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy. She has authored several chapters for textbooks, as well as dozens of internet articles. Sue is also the recipient of the 2009 Distinguished Alumni Award at Daemen College.
Sue is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy, a Certified Athletic Trainer and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist thorough the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is also educated in Dry Needling practices for Physical Therapists.

Jeff Forman, PhD, NCTMB Professor of Physical Education and Massage Therapy and Program Coordinator De Anza College Cupertino, California
Dr Forman has been a professor of Physical Education at De Anza College in Cupertino, Ca. for 34 years and Massage Therapy Program Coordinator for the past 20 years. He received his B.S. in Physical Education and M.Ed. in Adapted Physical Education/Corrective Therapy from Springfield College Springfield Massachusetts. His Ph.D. in Human Behavior was from USIU San Diego. He is a popular speaker and an author, his most recent book "Managing Physical Stress with Therapeutic Massage" Cengage 2007. He is currently researching one aspect of Active Muscle Therapy- the effects on strength and flexibility achieved when light eccentric resistance is combined with deep stripping massage.

Jay Greenstein, DC CEO Sport & Spine Rehab Fort Washington, Maryland
Dr. Greenstein is the CEO of the Sport and Spine Companies, a multi-location, multi-disciplinary, evidenced-based practice in the Washington DC Metro region. He is also the President and Founder of the Sport and Spine Rehab Clinical Research Foundation, a 501-c3 dedicated to high quality, clinical research. He serves on the CCGPP as the Vice Chair and represents CCGPP on the Chiropractic Summit and the Government Relations Committee. He is also the past Public Relations Chairman for the Virginia Chiropractic Association, and is the past Insurance Chairman for the Maryland and Virginia Chiropractic Associations. He was Chiropractor of the Year in 2010 for both state associations. His experience provides him with unique insight as he consults on the importance of evidenced-based care, presenting the right message to the public and ensuring optimal and efficient operations to effect expedient payment for services. In addition to taking post graduate courses at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business Schools, he is trained as a Green Belt in Six Sigma Quality Assurance Management. Dr. Greenstein sits on multiple community and business advisory boards in healthcare, banking and information technology.

Tom Hyde, DC, DACBSP Private Practice
Dr. Hyde graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1977. He served as the chiropractor for the US Team at the Pan American Games. He has worked with the athletic program at the University of Miami and spent 7 years as the chiropractic consultant for the Miami Dolphins. Dr. Hyde continues to lecture around the world on topics ranging from sports to the detection and treatment of soft tissue injuries.

Andre is a owner & physical therapist at A&K Physical Therapy. He is active in clinical practice and research. His current research interests include elastic resistance dosing and surface electromyography. He is an instructor for the Thera-Band Academy, and has lectured around the world.

Michael Rogers, PhD, CSCS, FASCM Department Chair and Professor Dept. of Human Performance Studies Wichita State University, KS
Dr. Rogers is a professor of exercise science, the chair of the department of human performance studies, and research director for the Center for Physical Activity and Aging at Wichita State University. His research focuses on developing evidence-based programs to improve balance, strength, and function in older adults. He is regularly invited to present on these programs in North America, Europe, and Asia. He is a fellow of the ACSM and a certified strength and conditioning specialist.

Robert Topp, PhD, RN Professor & Assistant Dean for Research College of Nursing, Marquette University Milwaulkee, WI
Dr. Topp is a Professor and Associate Dean for Research at the Marquette University College of Nursing. Dr Topp has conducted extramurally funded research for the past 25 years which has examined the impact of various forms of exercise including resistance training on the health and functioning of older adults. His findings are widely published, presented and include over 90 papers published in scientific journals and over 200 presentations presented at regional, national and international conferences. His current programs of research involve examining the effect of prehabilitation before surgery on rehabilitation among total knee replacement patients. Another ongoing research project involves comparing cryotherapy (application of ice) with menthol gel on blood flow, pain and muscle performance among healthy young adults. A final ongoing project Dr Topp in conducting involves improving the nutrition and physical activity habits of incoming college freshman through peer-based interventions.

Pam Toto, PhD, OTR/L, BCG, FAOTA University of Pittsburgh
Dr. Toto is an assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh. She is Board Certified in Gerontology and a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association. She is a co-editor of the text Strategies to Advance Gerontology Excellence: Promoting Best Practice in Occupational Therapy, and has extensive clinical experience working with older adults both in the community and in long term care settings. Dr. Toto has presented extensively on topics including falls prevention, functional assessment and treatment for older adults, home modifications, and exercise and physical activity programming for older adults. She is a volunteer with Rebuilding Together and a Carfit Trainer.Her research interests include the impact of best practice multicomponent physical activity programs on ADL performance in older adults.

Timothy Tyler, MS, PT, ATC Clinical Research Associate Nicholas Institute of Sports Medicine & Athletic Trauma New York, NY
Tim is physical therapist in private practice in New York. He is also a Research Associate at the Nicholas Institute of Sports Medicine and Athletic Trauma at Lenox Hill Hospital. His research interests include developing new objective measurements and evidence based rehabilitation guidelines. He has been published in several journals and texts.

Lars Andersen, PhD Senior Researcher National Research Centre for the Working Environment Copenhagen, Denmark
Dr. Andersen is a senior researcher for the National Research Centre for the Working Environment in Copenhagen, Denmark. His main research area is workplace health promotion with physical exercise. His latest research has focused on rehabilitation of neck pain using high-intensity strength training. He has lead several research projects and published articles in high-ranked international journals. He has also worked as a strength training coach of elite athletes for the Danish Elite Sports Organization.

Ashish Babhulkar, MD Orthopedic Surgeon Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital Pune, India
Dr. Babhulkar is a Shoulder Specialist & Joint Replacement Surgeon in Pune, India. He is a Post-graduate teacher at Sancheti Institute for Orthopaedics & Rehabilitationat Symbiosis Centre of Health Care, Pune. He is a Member of the Education Commission of the Asian Federation of Sports Medicine. He is part of the Organising Committee for the CASM international conference to be held in Jaipur 2012 & is a faculty for number of National & International Shoulder Conferences. He is now Co-Director of the soon to be - Diploma in Shoulder Rehabilitation.
His special interest is also in rehabilitation for painful shoulder, and he has developed a specific rehab program named, PSRP – PUNE SHOULDER REHABILITATION PROGRAMME.

David Behm, PhD Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Memorial University of Newfoundland St. Johns, Canada
Dr. David Behm is the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research in the School of Human Kinetics and Recreation at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. David has an extensive research portfolio with over 100 articles published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has collaborations with researchers on five continents and presents internationally on a regular basis. His research focus has been to investigate neuromuscular responses and adaptations to resistance training, instability, stretching and other activities. David integrates his theoretical work with a background as a competitive athlete and coach in a variety of sport such as football (drafted in Canadian Football League), hockey (Canadian junior hockey), baseball, tennis (provincial champion), squash (provincial champion) and others.

Juan Carlos Colado, PhD Head, Department of Physical Education and Sports University of Valencia Valencia, Spain
Dr. Colado received his PhD in Physical Education and Sport. He has been given a professional award by the Spanish Fitness Industry. He is currently a faculty member in the Department of Physical Education and Sport, Degree Coordinator of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences and Laboratory Coordinator of Physical Activity and Health at the University of Valencia (Spain). Dr. Colado is an international presenter and master trainer of teachers and professionals since 1998. He has authored several books and scientific articles about physical conditioning and is a scientific reviewer of international journals. He continues to be a scientific and technical advisor in leading companies in the field of physical conditioning equipment for fitness and wellness.

Leo Y.L. Wang, PT, MPH, PhDc Associate Professor, Associate Director Dept. of Rehabilitation Medicine of First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University Guangzhou, China
Leo obtained his undergraduate degree in sports rehabilitation from Shanghai Sports University and master degree of public health from Sun Yat-sen University, and is completing his PhD in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has more than 16 years’ clinical experience in the management of musculoskeletal disorders and accomplish in traditional Chinese massage and exercises. His research interests include sports physiotherapy, QOL and, epidemiological study in MSD. His PhD project is focused on the mechanisms of pain and mental stress among sedentary individuals using computer. He is currently on the Director of Physical Therapy Branch of Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, and the Director of Executive Committee of the Physical Therapy of Guangdong Provincial Association of Rehabilitation Medicine.
