This 2 ½ day workshop is the basis of our training program in Geriatric Massage. It covers these topics: 1. Physiologic, psychological and sociological aspects of aging. 2. Client assessment, cautions and contraindications. Psychological aspects of contact with the elderly and attention to detail in the assessment of the older client. 3. Specific methods to suit each client’s distinct needs. Participants are encouraged to develop critical reasoning. 4. How to establish a Geriatric Massage practice and practical hands on work with older people.
