Steve Middleton serves as the Director of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine at Assess, Treat & Condition, an outpatient clinic in Fulton, MO where he specializes in pelvic pain syndromes. He has 15 years experience in a combination of roles treating a variety of patients including athletes from high school to college as well as professional athletes in the NFL and Olympics.

Steve also serves as the Director of the Athletic Training Education Program at William Woods University in Fulton, MO. In addition to maintaining national accreditation, he also teaches Orthopedic Evaluation of the Lower Extremities and Lumbar Spine, Orthopedic Evaluation of the Upper Extremities and Cervical Spine, Therapeutic Exercise, and Manual Therapy. He previously taught in the Department of Kinesiology at Southern Illinois University as well as serving as both a clinical instructor for the Athletic Training Education Program and as a guest lecturer in the Physician’s Assistant program during their orthopedic rotations.

As a continuing education provider, he has also instructed over 1000 clinicians in continuing education courses emphasizing his system called NeuroFascial Patterns that evaluates and treats the interface of neuromyofascia. He has been a certification instructor for both Rocktape’s Functional Movement Taping and Graston Technique. His treatment and teaching approach is very hands-on from performing manual therapy techniques to corrective exercises.

Steve earned a Bachelor of Science-Athletic Training from Southern Illinois University. He holds a Master of Science in Exercise Science & Health Promotion with an emphasis on rehabilitation science from California University of Pennsylvania. He is currently completing a doctoral degree at the University of St Augustine for Health Sciences. In addition to his academic degrees, he holds additional certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, National Strength & Conditioning Association and the International Kinesio Taping Association.
