Academy Title:Kinesiology Tape Evidence-Based Practice
While commonly used, the effectiveness of Kinesiology Tape remains questioned. Despite several reviews and studies suggesting that Kinesiology Tape has no benefit, there are several high level (Level 2) studies that support the clinical use of Kinesiology Tape.
 
We continue to support Evidence-Based Practice by providing references of adequate, well-controlled studies with statistically significant outcomes. You can find links to the full articles as well as the clinical techniques used here:
  • Supports Joints: improves range of motion, joint position, or joint mobility
  • Supports Muscle: improves muscle strength or endurance, muscle power, EMG activation, flexibility, or trigger points
  • Reduces Pain: improves pain perception
