Kinesio tape management for superficial radial nerve entrapment: a case report.

The tape was cut into a "Y "strip extending to around six cm on one end. The patient's right thumbwas placed in a position of complete opposition with the inter-phalangeal joint flexed. Next the rest was flexed and ulnarly deviated to the available range. Following this, the elbow was extended. Maintaining this position, one end of the "Y "strip was applied on the dorsal surface of the thumb just above the first metacarpophalangeal joint. The other end of the "y" Strip was applied just below the second metacarpal phalangeal joint on the dorsal aspect. The tape was then applied down along the side of symptoms extending to around nine cm above the radial styloid process with a "paper off "tension.
