Bio:
Pedro Rebelo, BSc PT, MSc, PhD Student, and Title Specialist Physiotherapy by Inst. Politec. of  Lisbon. He is Director and Adjunct Professor at Physiotherapy Course of the Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde de Lisboa (ESTeSL), as Lecture of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy I – II, Electroterapy, Aquatic Therapy, Sports Physiotherapy. He teaches since 1993. Pedro is, at the same time, working in the Center for Research in Physiotherapy at the Faculty of Human Movement of the Technical University of Lisbon (Faculdade de Motricidade Humana (FMH)), as co-coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Sports Physiotherapy (2007/08). His academic achievements are: Bachelor in Physiotherapy (1993) and Licentiate (2000) by ESTeSL; Specialized Higher Studies Diploma in Rehabilitation by “Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada” (1998); Curricular attendance of Master Degree High Level Training (Sports) by FMH; and he has a Master Degree in Communication in Health by “Universidade Aberta” (February 2008). Pedro’s scientific interests include: Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Sports Physiotherapy. He also is very interested in sociologic studies about physiotherapy autonomy and professional issues. His clinical experience, as a physiotherapist, is related to public and private Hospitals and public and private Clinics, since 1993 until 2004. The experience related to Sports Physiotherapy is, since 1999 until 2004, as Physiotherapist of Portuguese Judo Federation and also as Physiotherapist on call of Portuguese Golf Federation (2001/02), and one of the Physiotherapist of Referee Staff at the European Football Championship 2004. He had the opportunity of sharing physiotherapy knowledge in Socrates/ERASMUS Programme – Teaching Staff Mobility in Academic year 2002/03 (Bulgaria). Later, in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2011 (Estonia), 2007 (Bulgaria), 2010 Portugal) he participated as a Teacher of Lecture / Workshop in “INTENSIVE PROGRAMME of PHYSIOTHERAPY”.
