Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Here is the answer to your frequently-asked question:

Your question was: How do persons with severe balance problems use the ball?

Our experts said: Persons with severe balance problems should use the ball only under close supervision. In cases where a patient has severe balance problems or is vulnerable to injury, the ball can be under-inflated to a smaller diameter. This will cause it to be softer and the area of ball-floor contact will be larger. This will in turn make it easier for the patient to maintain balance. As balance improves, the level of inflation and diameter can be increased, resulting in an increased challenge to the patient.
